In Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Varanasi, PM Modi talks about Future goal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Varanasi for a two-day visit, launching 37 projects valued at over ₹19,000 crore. Speaking at the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, PM Modi expressed the vision for India to wilt a ‘Viksit’ (developed) nation by 2047, urging citizens to commit to the country’s development. He emphasized the importance of government schemes reaching people seamlessly, citing the success of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana that provided permanent houses to virtually four crore families.

Addressing the yatra as an examination, PM Modi sought feedback on the fulfillment of promises and the effectiveness of government initiatives. He highlighted the significance of timely implementation, stating that schemes should reach citizens without hurdles. The PM unpreventable that his focus was on ensuring that government programs, like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, directly goody the people.

During the visit, PM Modi interacted with beneficiaries of various schemes, including PM Awas, PM SWANidhi, and PM Ujjwala. The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, flagged off in multiple states, aims to assess the impact of minutiae initiatives.

In Varanasi, PM Modi participated in a roadshow, visited the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Exhibition, and inaugurated projects for the region’s development. The two-day visit includes events like the inauguration of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2023 and the flagging off of a second Vande Bharat train between Varanasi and New Delhi.

The PM’s schedule moreover includes a visit to the Swaraveda Mahamandir and participation in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program at Barki Gram Sabha. He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various projects spanning roads, bridges, health, education, police welfare, smart municipality and urban development, railways, and airports. The visit aims to strengthen Varanasi’s infrastructure and contribute to the overall minutiae of the region.
