Asanur Pipeline Terminal:
The Prime Minister inaugurated the Asanur Pipeline Terminal via video priming from Tiruchy, aimed at relieving pressure from existing terminals in Chennai. This Rs 456-crore initiative will cater to the petroleum product needs of inside and northern Tamil Nadu.
This state-of-the-art terminal boasts major tankage capable of storing 80,000 KL for various products, anticipating a throughput of 817 thousand kilolitres per annum in the fiscal year 2024-25.
