JEE Mains 2024: Image Correction Opens at jeemain.nta.ac.in

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the image correction window for JEE Main 2024 session 1, allowing candidates to rectify photograph-related discrepancies. This window is open from today i.e. January 6. Candidates are advised to make the necessary corrections promptly to avoid any issues with their application.

Key Points of JEE Main 2024 Image Correction:

  • Correction Period:

Candidates can modify the images uploaded in their JEE Main application form from January 6 by logging in with their application number and password.

  • Background Specifications:

The new photograph should be passport-sized (size: 10 kb to 200 kb) and either in color or black and white. It should depict 80% of the face (without a mask) visible, including ears, against a white background. Spectacles are allowed only if used regularly.

  • Unacceptable Photos:

Polaroid and computer-generated photos are not acceptable. The photographs need not be attested, but candidates are advised to keep six to eight passport-size color photographs with a white background.

  • Fabricated Photographs:

If uploaded photographs are found to be fabricated, deshaped, or hand-made, the application will be rejected. This is considered the use of unfair means, and the candidate will be dealt with accordingly, as per NTA’s statement.

  • Application Particulars:

The image correction window specifically addresses photograph-related issues. Other particulars in the JEE Main 2024 application form cannot be modified.

  • Exam Session Information:

JEE Main 2024 is scheduled in two sessions—January and April. Candidates will be informed about the session 1 exam cities in the second week of January 2024. The session 1 exam is set to take place from January 24 to February 1. The application window for the second session will open on February 2 and close on March 2, 2024.
