Indian School of Business Partners with Government to Offer 50% Tuition Fee Waiver for Armed Forces Veterans

In a landmark initiative congruent with Armed Forces Flag Day, the Indian School of Business (ISB) has joined forces with the Ministry of Defence’s Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare to introduce the “Armed Forces Scholarship.” This pioneering collaboration aims to provide a 50% tuition fee waiver for armed forces veterans and zippy personnel transitioning into civil life. The scholarship, workable to postgraduate and wide management programs, is set to goody up to 22 veterans annually, totaling an impressive Rs 2.3 crore.

Expressing gratitude for the collaboration, Secretary (Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare) Shri Vijoy Kumar Singh highlighted the opportunity for retired personnel to pursue world-class education at ISB. He emphasized that this initiative would empower veterans to play a leadership role in towers a ripened India by 2047.

Dean of ISB, Professor Madan Pillutla, expressed welter over the collaboration, describing the fee waiver as a gesture of gratitude to the disciplined and single-minded armed forces personnel. He underscored the qualities of discipline, leadership, and transferral instilled by soldiers, qualities that contribute significantly to any significant role. Pillutla stated that the initiative’s goal is to make world-class education increasingly wieldy to those defended to serving the nation.

The collaboration reinforces ISB’s transferral to the armed forces, seeking to enhance the management skills of military personnel and veterans. Over 100 veterans are once part of ISB’s alumni, enriching the classroom environment with their valuable experiences. The Armed Forces Scholarship aligns with ISB’s vision of grooming future leaders for India and the world, recognizing the substantial contributions of armed forces veterans to the wonk community.

This scholarship not only represents a financial goody but moreover serves as recognition of the unique skill set armed forces veterans bring to the table.
