Delhi Metro Unveils Specially Wrapped Train for 75th Republic Day Celebration
New Delhi- The Delhi Metro made a grand gesture in celebration of the 75th Republic Day by introducing a specially wrapped train adorned with Republic Day-themed decorations. The inaugural ceremony took place at Mandi House Metro Station on the Violet Line, and the event was graced by Minister of Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, along with DMRC Managing Director Vikas Kumar.
In an official statement on X, the DMRC shared, “A metro train specially wrapped to celebrate the 75th Republic Day was formally pressed into service today from Mandi House Metro station on the Violet Line in the presence of Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of Law and Justice, and DMRC MD Vikas Kumar.” Minister Meghwal not only flagged off the decorated train but also engaged with specially-abled children who were part of the commemorative event.

The Violet Line, which connects Kashmere Gate in Delhi and Ballabhgarh in Haryana, witnessed the inaugural journey of this uniquely decorated metro train. The initiative aimed to enhance the Republic Day celebrations and create a festive atmosphere for daily commuters.
In addition to the specially wrapped train, the DMRC organized a metro ride on the Yellow Line for 100 individuals from tribal communities, representing every state and Union Territory of India. This initiative allowed them to experience the world-class metro system, traveling from INA to Patel Chowk Metro Stations, and included a visit to the metro museum at Patel Chowk station.
The tribal guests, part of the Republic Day celebrations facilitated by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, have the unique opportunity to meet the president and the prime minister. The culmination of their visit includes witnessing the Republic Day parade in the national capital.
The Delhi Metro’s commitment to cultural celebrations and community engagement was evident in these initiatives, contributing to the festive and patriotic spirit surrounding the 75th Republic Day.
